For startups · from idea to first version
Before you start building, you need to know what.
The most expensive version of a product is the one nobody wanted. We start with questions, not code. And if the answers say you shouldn't build it, we'll tell you.
What you get in the first four weeks
A deliverable with its own value, even if we don't continue together. Take it to another vendor, your own team, or an investor.
- A requirements catalog ranked by priority, not by what came to mind first.
- Wireframes of the main screens, so there's something concrete to discuss.
- A price and timeline for the first version.
- A list of what deliberately doesn't fit the first version, and why.
- A build-or-buy decision for each larger part.
What "good enough" means
The goal of the first version isn't perfection, it's a longer runway.
Holds up in front of an investor or regulator
That's the bar. Not that every edge is polished for the one user who hits it once a year.
Handles the growth that actually comes
Not the one from the pitch deck. We choose the architecture so parts can be swapped out once your success outgrows the original expectations.
Compliance from the start, not bolted on
In a regulated industry, auditability doesn't get implemented retroactively. Either you have it from day one, or you rewrite the whole architecture.
Ready to hand off to your own team
Once you have developers, they take over. That's how we handed off Legito and Dr.Digital, and both companies kept building on it.
How the project runs
We deliver by milestone, so you see the first results within weeks.
CreditPortal
We started with CreditPortal when all that existed was an idea to build a strong new player in the non-bank lending market. We designed and built the platform, including credit risk processes, registry connections, AML, and regulatory reporting. The system is in its twelfth year of operation.
Full storyFor select projects, we take equity
Part of the fee can be settled in equity instead of an invoice. It's not decided by your runway, but by whether we believe in what you're building and see a challenge with the potential to disrupt the market and we'll tell you that on the first call. It applies to a fraction of projects and isn't a substitute for funding.
Tell us what you're planning.
The first consultation takes half an hour - we recommend a video call, or a phone call. We'll talk through what you need and whether we see ourselves fit to work on it.
We usually reply to emails by next business day.
